I have been working with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community for many years. In the year 2007, SOMOS, a program of the Latino Commission on AIDS gave me an award for my outstanding contribution to the LGBT community.
Do you remember when interracial couples could not legally marry? Interracial marriage was ilegal. Now we have an African-American President Barack Obama. His mother was white and his father black.
